Roofers in Eastbourne for the Victorian villas of Meads and Upperton, the terraces behind the seafront and the semis and bungalows of Hampden Park and Langney. Ring 01273 110448 for a free written quote.
Eastbourne was largely built as a planned Victorian resort, and the big villas of Meads and Upperton and the terraces behind the seafront still carry slate and clay tile roofs with tall chimneys, hips, valleys and dormers. Old Town, around St Mary's Church, is older still, with flint cottages and clay tile. Hampden Park, Langney and Willingdon are mostly inter-war and post-war semis and bungalows.
On the Victorian roofs, the work is slates sliding off rusted nails, lead valleys and soakers that have split with age, and chimney stacks that need repointing and new flaunching. On the semis, it is perished felt, slipped concrete tiles and ridge mortar that has cracked.
Many Eastbourne villas have been split into flats, so one roof covers several owners. We quote clearly, photograph what we find and give each owner the same written report.
Eastbourne is about 18 miles east of our Brighton base, and we cover it from Meads to Sovereign Harbour and up to Willingdon. Michael surveys every roof himself and puts the quote in writing.
Victorian slate and clay tile roofs in Meads and Upperton need slates refixed, lead valleys renewed and stacks repointed. Our roof repairs in Eastbourne page sets out the common faults and prices.
Semis and bungalows in Hampden Park, Langney and Willingdon are where a new roof makes most sense. Rear extensions get a flat roof relaid from the deck. Not sure whether to repair or replace? Our guide helps.
